Lee's Martial Arts

Lee’s will be hosting an in-school tournament on Saturday, March 23rd. Are you uncertain what goes on at a tournament? Have you been to tournaments before but would like to brush up on your techniques? Or do you just want to have fun? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this tournament is for you! Congratulations to all of the students who tested last Saturday, and a special congratulations goes to Kristine Ensign who was awarded Outstanding Student! Excellent job to one and all!

Congratulations to Cassie (1st place in forms), Lexie (1st runner up in forms by 1/10 of a point!), and Kris (1st place in forms, adult division) at the recent tournament on December 1st. We’re very proud of you, and all of the other students at Lee’s!

Reminder, there is an upcoming test on Saturday, December the 8th, at 10 a.m. Testing students should show up to the test no later than 9:30 a.m. to change, stretch, and get ready. Test lists will be posted at the school soon. If you have any questions please talk to your instructor.

Lee’s will be holding our regular Women’s Self Defense Class on Sunday, October 28th at 6 p.m. This is open to the public as well as current female students and is a great opportunity to learn some basic techniques on how to stay safe! Contact Lee’s if you have any questions.

Lee’s Martial Arts will be hosting a Halloween Party and Safety Seminar on Saturday, 27 October from 6-9pm. There will be a list of tips for safe trick or treating, Halloween games, martial arts fun, and free stuff. Students feel free to invite your friends and family!

The October promotion test will be on Saturday, October the 13th, at 10:00 a.m. Students should arrive at 9:30 a.m. to get dressed, finalize paperwork, and warm up. A pot luck lunch will follow the test. Students/parents should talk with their instructors if they have any questions. See you then!

Come join us for a Family Movie Night! We’ll watch a movie (Avatar: The Last Airbender), have some food, and of course bunches of fun. The Movie Night will be this Friday, September the 28th, at 5:30 p.m. (replacing the normally scheduled 5:45 p.m. class). Feel free to bring your favorite snack!
